She highlighted the last-minute nature of her preparation, having flown in her favorite makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, from New York. “Honestly, I’m sure he’s not so happy with it — or maybe he is,” she added with a laugh.

The fashion mogul described the meticulous process behind her look, revealing that she had her “full hair and makeup done” before donning the Margiela mask. She humorously noted the practicalities of keeping the mask on, saying, “I’ll probably take it off upstairs to eat, right?” Kardashian had planned ahead, ensuring she was well-fed before the event.

When questioned by Variety about the comfort level of wearing the mask, Kardashian assured that she felt “cool and totally fine.” She referenced her past experience with face coverings, recalling her all-black ensemble from Balenciaga at the 2021 Met Gala. “Even more opaque does look very Skims-y; that’s why I was drawn to it,” she remarked, acknowledging the connection between her fashion ventures and her shapewear brand, Skims.
