A new documentary titled Corey Feldman vs. The World has sparked controversy as actor Corey Feldman alleges that his late co-star, Corey Haim, molested him during the filming of the 1987 film The Lost Boys. The revelations, made by Feldman, have drawn attention to ongoing discussions about abuse within the entertainment industry.
In the documentary directed by Marcie Hume, Feldman recounts a conversation he had with Haim while they were filming. According to Feldman, Haim suggested they “mess around,” a statement that left Feldman confused. He recalls Haim explaining, “This is what, you know, what guys in the business do, right? You know, you suck each other’s d–ks, or you f–k around, you do this stuff.” Feldman asserts that Haim told him this behavior was acceptable because Charlie Sheen had supposedly given him permission.
Sheen has categorically denied these allegations, referring to them as “sick, twisted and outlandish.” In response to the claims, Sheen stated that he has never engaged in the actions described by either Feldman or Haim. Despite the denials, Feldman maintains that he felt pressured during their interaction, stating, “When you have got somebody that’s trying to come onto you sexually, and you don’t want that, and you are a kid, and you are scared, you do whatever you can to stop it from happening.”
Feldman’s claims add to the troubling narrative surrounding both actors, who have previously spoken out about being victims of sexual abuse in their youth. These earlier allegations were detailed in Feldman’s 2020 documentary My Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys, which focused on the abuse both stars faced during their rise to fame in the 1980s.
The latest revelations have reignited discussions about the culture of silence surrounding sexual abuse in Hollywood, particularly concerning child actors. As Feldman continues to share his experiences, the documentary has become a focal point for those advocating for greater transparency and accountability within the industry.
The documentary Corey Feldman vs. The World is now available for viewing, and it is anticipated that it will further amplify the conversation surrounding these serious allegations. As awareness grows, many hope that the entertainment industry will take stronger measures to protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation.
