Stoneleigh-Burnham Girls Volleyball Clinches SNEISAA Championship

The Stoneleigh-Burnham girls volleyball team secured the Southeastern New England Independent Schools Athletic Association (SNEISAA) championship following a decisive 3-1 victory against Mount St. Charles on November 7, 2025. The championship match took place at Stoneleigh-Burnham’s home court in Greenfield, Massachusetts, marking a significant achievement for the team.

With a regular season record of 5-1, Stoneleigh-Burnham finished at the top of the league standings, earning the number one seed in the SNEISAA playoffs. Their only loss came in the season opener, but they bounced back strongly to dominate throughout the remainder of the season.

The Owls now advance to the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Girl’s Volleyball Championships, where they will compete in the Class D bracket. As the eighth seed, they are set to face top-seeded Christian Heritage School on the road. The match is scheduled for Wednesday at 16:30.

In addition to the volleyball success, the Franklin County Hockey Association (FCHA) recently announced the commencement of its Learn to Play Hockey program, which began on November 8. This program is designed to help young athletes develop their skills and confidence in a supportive environment. Sessions will take place on weekends throughout the hockey season, and registration remains open for interested participants.

Furthermore, the FCHA will launch its Learn to Skate program starting on December 6. More information about these programs can be found at www.FCHA.org.

The Stoneleigh-Burnham volleyball team’s triumph serves as a testament to their hard work and dedication, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting continuation of their season in the upcoming NEPSAC championships.
