U.S. Marshals Capture Hawaii Child Rape Fugitive in Worcester

UPDATE: A fugitive wanted for child rape in Hawaii has been captured in Worcester, Massachusetts. Coleen Kuamo`o, also known as Malama Kuamo`o, 43, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals on Thursday after being tracked down following a tip-off from the Maui Police Department. This urgent capture highlights the relentless efforts of law enforcement to bring fugitives to justice, no matter where they attempt to hide.
Authorities confirm that Kuamo`o is wanted in Hawaii for serious charges, including one count of sexual assault in the first degree, three counts of sexual assault in the third degree, and one count of using a computer in the commission of a crime. The alleged incidents occurred in Wailuku, Hawaii, and involve a child victim.
Acting U.S. Marshal for Massachusetts Kevin Neal stated, “Anyone who thinks they can flee across the country to avoid facing justice is mistaken. The U.S. Marshals Service is committed to ensuring fugitives face justice – no matter where they run.” This statement underscores the urgency of the matter and the determination of federal agents.
In addition to this significant arrest, the Boston Police Department reported a busy weekend with 299 incidents between 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. Among these were two robberies, six aggravated assaults, and multiple thefts from vehicles. The incidents reflect ongoing concerns about public safety in the area.
Several arrests have been made, including individuals facing serious charges such as:
– Dominique Hines, 106 Heath St., Boston, charged with felony possession of a firearm.
– Luis Abreu-Shanlatte, 250 Margaretta Drive, Hyde Park, arrested for shoplifting over $100 by concealing.
– Kerri Dunbar, 444 E. Third St., Boston, facing an external warrant arrest.
