URGENT UPDATE: Two men were viciously slashed in a shocking attack in Queens early this morning. The incident occurred just after 4:08 a.m. on December 7, along Barnett Avenue and 48th Street in Sunnyside, according to police.
Authorities report that the victims, aged 27 and 25, were targeted by knife-wielding assailants as they attempted to retrieve a two-wheeled device. The attackers struck without warning, leaving both men with serious injuries. The older victim sustained a slash wound to the face, while the younger man suffered a slash to the neck.
Responding to a 911 call, officers from the 108th Precinct arrived on the scene to find the two victims in distress. Emergency Medical Services transported the 27-year-old to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. The younger man declined medical assistance at the scene.
Police have recovered a knife from the location but have not yet made any arrests. They are actively searching for the two suspects responsible for this brutal assault. As of now, no descriptions of the attackers have been released.
