BREAKING: Roland J. Charland, Jr., a beloved member of the Dracut community, has tragically passed away unexpectedly at the age of 40 on December 30, 2025. Born on December 16, 1985, Roland was the cherished son of Roland and Darleen (O’Brien) Charland, who are mourning the sudden loss of their son.
Roland’s passing is a significant loss, especially for his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted brother, Corey Charland, who shared a unique bond with him. Known for his caring nature, Roland was particularly devoted to Corey, and his absence will be felt deeply.
Educated in the Dracut Public School system, Roland worked for several years as a bus monitor for NRT, contributing to the local community. Previously, he was known for his role in the produce department at Stop & Shop. Outside of work, Roland was a passionate gamer and loved visiting Disney World and other amusement parks, where he created lasting memories with his family.
A detailed memorial service is set for Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at O’Donnell Funeral Home, located at 276 Pawtucket St., Lowell. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home. This gathering will provide a space for those who loved Roland to come together and remember his life.
In addition to his parents and brother, Roland is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family, including his late grandparents from Tyngsboro, MA. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched.
