Suspect Arrested for Fatal Stabbing of Moreno Valley Man

UPDATE: A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of 35-year-old Jullian Hughes in Riverside, California. The incident, which left Hughes dead from multiple stab wounds, occurred just after 12:20 PM on December 9, 2023, in the 3700 block of University Avenue.

Police officials report that they responded swiftly to the scene after receiving calls about the attack. Upon arrival, they found Hughes critically injured. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a nearby hospital.

Authorities identified the suspect as John Larry Perryman, also of Riverside. He fled the scene but was apprehended shortly thereafter near 14th Street and Segewick Avenue. Perryman has been booked on suspicion of murder and is scheduled to appear in court next week.
