BREAKING: Four individuals were shot in Lakeview early Sunday morning, just blocks from Wrigley Field. The incident occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. on July 23, 2023, in the 3400 block of North Clark Street, according to police reports.
Authorities confirm that the victims were targeted when a gunman exited a white pickup truck and opened fire on the group. A 29-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm, while another 28-year-old man was also hit in the arm. A 29-year-old woman sustained a leg injury, and a 25-year-old man was struck in the shoulder. All four victims were transported to local hospitals, with the three taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital and the fourth to Thorek Memorial Hospital. Police report that all victims are currently in fair condition.
The shooting occurred near the popular Al’s Beef restaurant at 3420 N. Clark St.. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect fled the scene heading northbound in the pickup truck, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
