Five Hospitalized After Truck Crash In Minot, Maine This Morning

URGENT UPDATE: Five individuals have been hospitalized following a serious accident involving a pickup truck and an SUV in Minot, Maine, earlier today. The crash occurred at approximately 8:13 a.m. on Center Minot Hill Road, as confirmed by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

According to reports, Sherwood Jordan, 73, of Bethel, was driving a red 1989 Ford F-150 when he struck a downed tree, lost control of the vehicle, and subsequently collided with a gray 2025 Toyota RAV4.

Jordan, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the truck during the impact. His passenger, Mitzie Naples, was among those taken to the hospital. The driver of the Toyota, Howie Wu, 16, from Brooklyn, New York, and his two passengers were also hospitalized.

The circumstances leading to this tragic event are still under investigation, with authorities urging anyone with additional information to come forward. As of now, the sheriff’s office has not released further details regarding the conditions of the injured parties.
