Bryan Edward Carpentier, 81, Passes Away; Community Mourns Loss

BREAKING NEWS: Bryan Edward Carpentier, aged 81, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Iron River, Wisconsin, surrounded by his loving family. This beloved figure leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and service that has profoundly impacted his community and loved ones.

Authorities confirm that Bryan was surrounded by family during his final moments, including his girlfriend Margie, his children Robert (Jenny), David (Susan), and Wendy (Jeff), as well as his cherished grandchildren. His gentle spirit and generous nature endeared him to everyone he encountered, creating a void that will be deeply felt by those who knew him.

Bryan was born in Southington, Connecticut, and was the eldest of five siblings, surviving brothers Skip, Charlie, and Ron, and sister Sue. Known for his wit and warm demeanor, he dedicated over 26 years of service to his country in the Air Force and the 148th Fighter Wing Minnesota Air National Guard.

His community involvement was extensive, highlighted by over 54 years as an active member of the Trinity Free Masonic Lodge #282. He contributed significantly to Shriners International and was especially proud of his volunteer work at the Bentleyville City of Duluth Holiday Lights Display, serving as a key member of the Electrical, Santa, and Marketing teams for over 17 years.

In addition to his military and civic contributions, Bryan was a devoted family man who supported his children and grandchildren in their activities, often coaching and cheering them on at events. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, fishing, and assembling jigsaw puzzles, creating lasting memories with those he loved.

A full military honors memorial service will be held on October 31, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Saginaw, MN. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will take place at 4:00 PM at the AAD Shrine Meeting & Event Center in Hermantown, MN.
