UPDATE: Brooke Mueller, the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, has filed court documents claiming he owes her a staggering $15,386,000 in back child support. The urgent plea was submitted on December 4, 2024, as Mueller seeks immediate judicial intervention to collect unpaid support from Sheen, who she alleges has failed to meet his financial obligations for years.
In her motion, Mueller asserts that Sheen owes her $8,967,600 for child support from March 1, 2011, to December 2, 2025, alongside an additional $6.4 million in interest. She is requesting the court to mandate Sheen to pay the back support and $25,000 toward her legal fees within 30 days of a court order.
Mueller details in the court filings that Sheen was awarded a child support payment of $660,000 annually but has consistently fallen short. She claims he only paid $295,000 for 2011, despite owing $550,000, and failed to make any payments from 2012 to 2015. Mueller reports receiving minimal payments in subsequent years: $96,000 in 2016, $228,366 in 2017, $113,000 in 2018, and nothing from 2019 through 2022. In 2023, he paid $20,000, followed by $30,000 in 2024 and $39,000 so far this year.
In her court declaration, Mueller emphasized, “Charlie made full child support payments through June 2011. Beginning in July 2011, he made either partial payments or failed to make any payments.”
This legal battle comes on the heels of a previous court ruling in 2024, where Sheen claimed to have reached a custody agreement with Mueller. Under the terms, if Mueller relapses, Sheen would gain sole custody of their children.
Mueller appeared in Sheen’s Netflix documentary released in September, where she candidly discussed their tumultuous relationship, including an incident in Aspen where Sheen was charged with threatening her. Despite their troubled past, Mueller expressed gratitude for Sheen’s support during her struggles with substance abuse.
As this situation unfolds, the financial and emotional implications for both parties are significant. The court’s decision could impact their custody arrangement and the welfare of their children.
