URGENT UPDATE: The beloved Annual Friends of the Conant Public Library Arts & Crafts Show is set to take place at a new venue this year, promising even more holiday cheer and local talent. On Saturday, November 22, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., shoppers can explore over 50 vendors at Houghton Elementary and Chocksett Middle Schools, located at 32 Boutelle Road, Sterling, MA.
This year’s show features a wide array of handmade gifts and holiday items from skilled local artisans, filling the cafeterias of both schools. “The new venue allows space for even more artists and craftspeople,” stated Beth Cyr, chairperson of the craft fair. With the fair’s growing popularity, attendees can expect to find returning favorites and exciting new offerings.
Shoppers will enjoy products including alpaca items, aromatherapy, beach glass art, skincare essentials, and custom wreaths. New this year are delicious maple syrup, unique pet portraits, gourmet olive oil, and handcrafted candles in vintage teacups.
Returning traditions like the bake sale, cheese sale, raffle, and lunch café will continue at the new location, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Admission is just $2, with all proceeds directly supporting programs at the Conant Public Library. Each visitor will receive a Passport to be stamped in three locations for a chance to win a special prize.
Although vendor spaces are currently full, artisans interested in joining the waiting list can reach out to Beth Cyr at [email protected] for information on next year’s show.
