WWE Stars Roman Reigns and CM Punk Join The Rock in Zootopia 2

The upcoming Disney animated film, Zootopia 2, will feature notable contributions from two WWE superstars, Roman Reigns and CM Punk. According to Paradigm’s Nick LoPiccolo, both wrestlers have lent their voices to zebra characters in the highly anticipated sequel, which is scheduled for release on November 26, 2024.

This announcement follows the earlier revelation that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will voice the character Zeke, enhancing the film’s star-studded cast. The original Zootopia, released in 2016, became a global phenomenon, grossing over $1 billion at the box office and winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. With the sequel set to build on this success, expectations are high for its performance.

Both Reigns and Punk have made strides in their acting careers beyond wrestling. Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, has appeared in various film and television roles since his acting debut in 2019. His most recent project was on the Syfy series Revival, while he is also set to appear in the upcoming horror film Night Patrol, which will be released in January 2024.

Reigns, known off-screen as Joe Anoa’i, is also expanding his acting portfolio. He is scheduled to appear alongside Cody Rhodes in the forthcoming Street Fighter movie, which is currently in production. Additionally, Reigns is involved in another project, Action Force, which is in the pre-production phase. His most notable role to date was in the 2019 film Hobbs & Shaw, a spinoff of the popular Fast and the Furious franchise.

As Zootopia 2 nears its release date, the combination of established stars from different entertainment realms, including the wrestling industry, is generating excitement. With its blend of humor, adventure, and a strong voice cast, the film is poised to attract audiences worldwide, continuing the legacy of its predecessor.
