Hornets’ Guard Brandon Miller Out with Shoulder Injury

Charlotte Hornets guard Brandon Miller will be sidelined for his second consecutive game due to a left shoulder subluxation. He is set to undergo further evaluation when the team returns to Charlotte on October 29, 2023. Miller sustained the injury during the second quarter of Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, exiting the match with 10:50 remaining. The Hornets ultimately lost that game 125-121.

Following his injury, Miller missed Charlotte’s emphatic 139-113 victory over the Washington Wizards on Sunday. The team officially confirmed the nature of his injury on Monday after additional assessments. The Hornets are currently in the midst of a three-game road trip, concluding with a matchup against the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

Miller started the season strong, contributing 25 points and seven assists in a win against the Brooklyn Nets. His overall availability has been a concern, as he was limited to just 27 games last season due to a season-ending torn ligament in his right wrist.

As the Hornets prepare for their final game of the road trip, the impact of Miller’s absence will be closely monitored. The team has shown resilience in his absence, but his return will be crucial for their upcoming games.
