The Carson Cougars’ girls basketball team achieved a notable victory on January 12, 2024, defeating the Robinson Bulldogs 45-37 in an away game. Freshman guard Audrey Faggart led the scoring for the Cougars with 12 points, showcasing her potential in a challenging matchup.

Strong Start and Resilient Finish

Head coach Chloe Monroe expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance despite a long layoff prior to the game. “We would like to have won bigger, but we’ll definitely take it,” Monroe said. “Long layoff and then we come back for a very physical game, but we responded. We got the win.”

The Cougars began the game with an impressive first quarter, establishing an early lead with a score of 15-3. Notably, Julia Burleson contributed significantly, sinking two 3-pointers that helped set the tone for the match.
