A significant donation from the Auxiliary to the SSM Health Foundation – Southern Illinois has improved the capabilities of the Emergency Department at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon. The foundation has provided four advanced workstations on wheels, each valued at $7,000, which facilitate mobile charting and enhance the efficiency of clinicians in a demanding emergency care environment.
According to a news release from SSM Health, these workstations enable healthcare providers to deliver timely and effective patient care. “We are incredibly grateful for this gift from the Foundation. These workstations have made a tremendous difference for our team, allowing us to stay mobile, efficient, and focused on patient care,” said Lori Scott, Director of the Emergency Department at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital.
The introduction of these workstations is part of the ongoing commitment by the SSM Health Foundation – Southern Illinois to enhance healthcare services in the region. The foundation relies on the generosity of its donors to ensure that caregivers have the necessary tools to provide exceptional support to the communities they serve.
As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, the need for advanced technology in emergency settings becomes increasingly apparent. The mobility and efficiency offered by the new workstations are expected to significantly impact patient experience and care delivery.
