Pine Tree and Spring Hill Students Shine at All-State Band Concert

Students from Pine Tree and Spring Hill high schools showcased their musical talents by performing with the prestigious 2026 Texas All-State Symphonic Band. This notable achievement followed a rigorous audition process that began with more than 60,000 students statewide competing for a spot in one of the elite ensembles.

Among those selected were Logan Blondrage from Pine Tree and Sunny Kim from Spring Hill, both of whom play the clarinet. This performance marks Blondrage’s second time joining a Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State organization, highlighting his continued dedication and skill in music.

The All-State concert is recognized as the highest honor a music student in Texas can achieve. Following a competitive series of auditions at the district, region, and area levels, only 1,830 students, representing the top 3% of participants, earned the opportunity to perform. Selected musicians attended four days of intensive rehearsals during the TMEA Clinic/Convention before their concert, which took place on March 4, 2026, at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio.
