Crest High School celebrated its 2025 Fall Homecoming on September 29, 2023, with seniors Jensen Barker and Kinley Edgerton being crowned as the King and Queen during the festivities. This annual tradition marks a highlight in the school calendar, bringing together students, families, and the community to celebrate school spirit and camaraderie.

Homecoming Festivities

The event featured a variety of activities, including a parade and performances that showcased the talents of students from different grades. The crowning ceremony took place amidst cheers from classmates and supporters, adding to the excitement of the evening. Both Barker and Edgerton expressed their gratitude for the recognition, stating it was an honor to represent their school.

Jensen Barker, in a brief statement, remarked, “It feels amazing to be recognized in this way. Homecoming is a special time for all of us.” Kinley Edgerton echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of community support during the event.

Homecoming Game Outcome

While the crowning moment brought joy to the Crest High community, the evening took a disappointing turn on the football field. The Lancers faced off against their rivals, Marmaton Valley, but unfortunately, the team suffered a significant loss, falling to a score of 56-0. The game showcased the Lancers’ struggles this season, as they were unable to find their rhythm against a strong opponent.

Despite the defeat, the spirit of the Homecoming festivities remained high, with students and supporters rallying together to celebrate their school pride. The evening served as a reminder of the importance of community and shared experiences, regardless of the outcome on the field.

The Crest High School community looks forward to future events that will continue to foster school spirit and unity, reinforcing the values that make their school special.
