Kwik Star, a popular convenience store chain, has officially opened its latest location in Knoxville, marking the start of business on January 8, 2024. The company celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an open house attended by President and CEO Scott Zietlow and community members.
The new store, strategically situated to serve local residents, offers an array of products designed to meet diverse customer needs. Shoppers will find hot food options, grocery items, fresh produce, and baked goods. The facility also features 20 fueling spots and a car wash, enhancing convenience for patrons.
During the ribbon-cutting event, Zietlow highlighted a significant aspect of Kwik Star’s operations: the company’s commitment to providing its own products. He stated, “We carry national brands for sure, but we have many of our own brands. With all the production that we do, that makes a huge difference for us in terms of controlling our own delivery system.” This vertical integration allows Kwik Star to offer reliable delivery and manage its supply chain effectively, a capability not commonly available to many competitors.
In addition to the store opening, Kwik Star demonstrated its commitment to the local community by donating $1,000 each to the Knoxville Fire Department and the Knoxville Police Department. These contributions reflect the company’s intention to build strong ties with the community it serves.
The opening of this new Kwik Star location underscores the company’s growth strategy and its dedication to enhancing the convenience shopping experience for customers. With its extensive product offerings and community support initiatives, Kwik Star aims to become a vital part of the Knoxville landscape.
