This weekend, The Woodlands area will host a variety of events to celebrate Veterans Day and provide entertainment for the community. From live music performances to family-friendly festivals, there are numerous activities to engage residents and visitors alike from November 7 to November 11.

Live Music and Cultural Events

The Blue Lion Pub is set to feature live music with performances by Rapture on November 7 and Radio Frequency on November 8. Both shows will start at 20:00 and are free to attend. Located at 8000 McBeth Way, Ste. 100, patrons can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with curated drinks and local talent.

Similarly, the Como Social Club will host Javier Gonzalez on November 7 and the duo of Luke Whitney and Veronica Rosales on November 8. These events will also begin at 21:00 and offer complimentary admission. The club, situated at 2 Waterway Square Place, promises an engaging weekend filled with music and socializing.

For families, the fourth annual Pumpkin Smash event at the Sterling Ridge Park and Ride will take place on November 8 from 15:00 to 18:00. Attendees can bring their used pumpkins to be composted, promoting sustainability in a fun, interactive way. This event is free and located at 8001 McBeth Way.

Veterans Day Celebrations

On November 11, The Woodlands will honor its veterans with a special tribute hosted by the Woodlands Township and the local Fire Department. The ceremony will take place from 16:00 to 17:00 at the Central Fire Station, located at 9951 Grogans Mill Road. This free event will feature a presentation of colors, musical performances, and remarks from local dignitaries. Attendees can also participate in a donation drive, collecting goods to be shipped to active-duty troops.

Additionally, the Woodlands Christian Academy will hold its annual student-led concert and choir on November 11 at 18:30. This event, also free to the public, will showcase contributions from students in grades 5-8, including posters and documentaries honoring veterans. The academy is located at 5800 Academy Way.
