Daisy Kelliher has shared insights about her working relationship with Ben Robinson during the filming of Below Deck Down Under‘s upcoming fourth season. Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on November 14, she described the experience as both “crazy” and “nerve-wracking,” particularly as she transitioned from Sailing Yacht to Down Under.
Kelliher, 36, expressed that the move was filled with anxiety, but she categorised it as “good anxiety.” Reflecting on her previous experiences, she stated, “I loved being on Sailing and I loved Glenn Shephard. I knew what I was doing. It felt very comfortable.” Despite her nerves, she was optimistic about the new season, noting her enthusiasm for working with Captain Jason Chambers. “Honestly, I think we smashed it and I made sure I brought my A-game. And I hope everyone can see that,” she added.
While looking forward to the season, Kelliher acknowledged that it would not be without its share of drama. “I went into the season taking no prisoners. I knew what I wanted,” she remarked, hinting at the challenges posed by her colleague Ben. “Ben challenged me and he’s not easy to work with,” she noted, implying that their interactions would add a layer of tension to the show.
Despite the challenges, Kelliher praised her professional growth during this season, stating, “I think he also respected me. So I think I really evolved as a chief stew and as a person.” She admitted to being uncomfortable with confrontation, yet recognised its necessity for achieving her goals. “I was so sure about what I wanted to achieve,” she explained. “I am not letting any crew member get in the way of what I’m trying to do this season.”
The fourth season of Below Deck Down Under is set to premiere on February 2, 2025. It follows Captain Chambers and his crew aboard the Katina, which includes returning sous chef Alesia Harris and new crew members like stews Joe Caron and Jenna Woudberg. The crew will navigate the pristine waters of Canouan, an exclusive Caribbean destination.
The official synopsis reveals that this season features some of the most demanding guests in Below Deck history, notably including the full cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Tension is expected as sous chef Harris grapples with the high standards set by Chef Ben, leading her to question her future on board. The synopsis notes that Kelliher will face new challenges as she adjusts to a larger vessel and a new captain.
Challenges arise early on, as one of Kelliher’s stews must leave before the first charter begins, stretching her team thin. The season promises to explore the dynamics between crew members, with tensions escalating particularly between Kelliher and Ben. As Kelliher navigates her leadership role, she must decide whether to assert her authority or risk being questioned by her team.
Promoted to second officer, João Franco is also featured prominently, striving to maintain order while dealing with galley drama that threatens his longstanding friendship with Ben. The synopsis concludes by highlighting the chaos that ensues when experienced heads of departments clash, illustrating that even seasoned professionals can find themselves overwhelmed.
“With veteran heads of departments clashing and chaos mounting, Capt. Jason realizes that more experience also means bigger egos, proving that even the pros can go overboard.”
Viewers can expect a thrilling mix of drama, personal growth, and high-stakes challenges when Below Deck Down Under returns to Bravo on February 2 at 20:00 ET. New episodes will be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
