MAI Capital Management Expands Stake in iShares Treasury ETF by 17.3%

MAI Capital Management has increased its holdings in the iShares 1-3 Year Treasury Bond ETF (NASDAQ: SHY) by 17.3% during the second quarter of 2023. In a recent filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission, the firm reported owning 99,682 shares of the ETF, following the acquisition of an additional 14,705 shares in this period. As of the latest filing, the total value of MAI Capital Management’s holdings in the iShares ETF stands at approximately $8.26 million.

Several other institutional investors have also adjusted their positions in the iShares 1-3 Year Treasury Bond ETF. Live Oak Private Wealth LLC raised its stake by 1.9% in the second quarter, now holding 6,613 shares valued at $548,000 after purchasing an additional 123 shares. Meanwhile, MassMutual Private Wealth & Trust FSB significantly expanded its holdings by 45.5%, acquiring 400 shares worth $33,000 after adding 125 shares during the last quarter.

The iShares 1-3 Year Treasury Bond ETF, managed by BlackRock, is designed to track a market-weighted index of U.S. Treasury securities with maturities ranging from one to three years. The ETF excludes Treasury STRIPS and was launched on July 22, 2002.
