Fatal Catawba County Crash Kills Uribe Enedino, 68; Two Hurt

UPDATE: A tragic accident in Catawba County has claimed the life of 68-year-old Uribe Enedino and left two others critically injured. The incident occurred yesterday at approximately 5:30 p.m. on 12th Avenue Drive, just half a mile from Highway 321.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Enedino experienced a medical emergency that caused his Honda Civic to fail to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle first collided with a parked car before crashing into a utility pole. Enedino was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers, identified as Jose Uribe, 21, and Rosa Uribe, 28, were both critically injured and transported to a local hospital. Reports indicate that Rosa Uribe was not wearing a seatbelt while seated in the back of the vehicle.

Following the crash, authorities closed the road for about two hours to conduct an on-scene investigation, as reported by WCNC.
