Thursday Boot Company has officially opened its first West Coast retail location at 449 Octavia Street in San Francisco. This new store marks the company’s fifth outlet across the United States, with other locations including two in New York and one in Austin. Situated in the vibrant Hayes Valley neighborhood, the store showcases the full range of the company’s boot collection.
The design of the San Francisco store is a collaboration with CHB Designs and features a blend of design elements that reflect the area’s Victorian heritage. The interior boasts warm woods, bright metal accents, and clean architectural lines. The color palette draws inspiration from the city’s famous fog, incorporating shades of pale blue, soft grey, and muted green, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the store highlights local craftsmanship. Vintage furnishings are sourced from various Bay Area artisans, including items from Stuff in the Mission District and Grand Central Station Antiques in Oakland. The space also includes design touches inspired by classic dive bars, such as a dartboard and curated vintage barware, reinforcing the brand’s roots.
“Our initial days were spent selling boots out of bars, one customer at a time,” stated Co-Founder and CEO, Nolan Wilson. “We sought to encapsulate that warmth and hospitality in this store, making it feel welcoming from the moment you enter. Whether it’s a new pair of boots or a retail space, we believe the details matter.”
To celebrate the grand opening, Thursday Boot Company is hosting a series of events from now until January 18, 2026. The festivities include daily exclusive product giveaways, complimentary refreshments, and a unique opportunity for customers to receive free tattoos with a purchase on Saturday afternoon, provided by local tattoo studio Idle Hands.
Looking ahead, the company plans to accelerate its retail expansion, with more stores anticipated to open in new cities across the United States in the coming years. “With our own factory, years of production optimization, and a deeply engaged customer base, we finally felt ready to bring Thursday to life in physical spaces,” Wilson added. “We are moving swiftly but intentionally, choosing distinctive locations for stores that reflect the same thoughtfulness as our footwear and apparel. Hayes Valley is just the beginning of a long journey ahead.”
