As redshirt senior offensive lineman Garrett DiGiorgio made his way to the locker room, he exchanged high-fives with Bruins supporters, embodying a spirit of gratitude. “Win or loss, the last five years for me have been amazing,” DiGiorgio said. “I’m super grateful to be at this university and to be able to play in the historic Rose Bowl.” Surrounded by family and friends, he acknowledged the emotional significance of the occasion, even amidst the disappointment of the outcome.
Athletic Director Martin Jarmond was present to greet each player and coach as they exited the field, offering encouragement and congratulations, similar to his pre-game gestures during the Senior Day festivities. New Faces Shine Despite Setback

Cole Cogshell, a defensive tackle and Pasadena native, celebrated his moment on the field with four tackles and a sack—the first of his career. This achievement came after he played sparingly earlier in the season, fulfilling a long-held dream of playing at the Rose Bowl.
Another standout was redshirt freshman Jamir Benjamin, who not only appeared in every game this season but also scored his first points by recovering a fumble and returning it for a touchdown. This marked an exciting highlight for both Benjamin and his teammate Kanye Clark, who forced the fumble. The pair demonstrated the potential for growth within the team, even as they faced a disappointing season.
Freshman running back Karson Cox also made his collegiate debut during this game, completing two carries for a total of eight yards.
