Adams Christmas Tree Festival Returns to Support Local Pool

The annual Christmas Tree Festival Fundraiser is set to return to Adams, bringing renewed enthusiasm and community engagement. Scheduled for December 6-7, 2023, this cherished event aims to generate funds for the Adams Pool, which not only serves the town but also benefits nearby communities including Taopi, Rose Creek, Elkton, Johnsburg, and Dexter. This year’s festival comes at a crucial time, as the pool requires significant repairs, making community support essential.

The festivities will kick off at 11 a.m. each day at the Adams American Legion. Attendees can expect to see a stunning array of up to 40 themed Christmas trees, each crafted by local residents, businesses, and organizations. While the themes remain a well-guarded secret, previous years have showcased imaginative designs, including a large snowman tree and a Grinch-themed creation.

A highlight of this year’s festival will be the participation of students from Southland School and Sacred Heart School. These young decorators will create trees inspired by their favorite books, which will be featured in a silent auction alongside the books themselves. Most trees will be for display only, but some contributors have generously chosen to donate their creations for bidding.

In addition to the beautifully decorated trees, the festival will host a silent auction with over 150 items. This presents a perfect opportunity for attendees to find unique holiday gifts or indulge in a little treat for themselves. Guests can participate in the auction, bid on items, or make outright purchases. Other ways to contribute include participating in raffles, enjoying a chili luncheon, and paying a free-will donation for entry.

For those feeling particularly festive, there are additional opportunities to get involved. Community members can decorate their own trees, enter the Gingerbread House contest, or take part in a cookie exchange. The Tree Festival Committee is dedicated to making this year’s gathering a memorable celebration of community spirit and support.
