Mark O’Herin, 70, Passes Away; Irish Wake Planned

BREAKING: Mark O’Herin, a beloved community member from Voorheesville, NY, has tragically passed away at his home on October 17, 2023, at the age of 70. Known for his exceptional culinary skills, especially his famous cheesecakes, O’Herin was a dedicated friend who always lent a helping hand to those in need.

In lieu of formal services, an informal Irish Wake will be held in his honor at the Hedge Bistro located at the Western Turnpike Golf Course on November 16, from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. This gathering will provide an opportunity for friends and family to celebrate his life and share fond memories.

The family has also announced plans for a more formal celebration of life in the spring, encouraging those who wish to honor O’Herin to contribute to either the American Cancer Society or the Guilderland Animal Shelter instead of sending flowers.
