The 21st Annual Charity Sports Auction, organized by the Sport Management Club at Syracuse University, will take place from November 18 to November 23, 2025. This year’s auction supports the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, a key facility providing care to over 100,000 children annually across 22 counties.
Bidding for the auction will commence on November 18, coinciding with a home game featuring the Syracuse men’s basketball team against Monmouth University in the JMA Wireless Dome. Participants can place their bids online through GiveSmart until the auction closes on November 23.
Supporting the Health of Children
The funds raised will benefit the Upstate Pediatric and Adolescent Center at the Nappi Wellness Institute. According to Steven Blatt, medical director at the center, the hospital focuses on innovative and family-centered care. Blatt expresses gratitude for the support, stating, “Your partnership will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families we care for.”
The auction has a strong track record, having raised over $770,000 for various Central New York non-profit organizations over the last two decades. Featured items this year include a signed baseball bat from Juan Soto, a mini helmet signed by Kyle McCord, and a jersey signed by Lawrence Taylor, among others.
Community Engagement Through Sponsorship
This year, Apex Entertainment serves as the title sponsor, highlighting its commitment to community impact. The support from Apex underscores the auction’s mission to enhance the well-being of children in the region.
