Authorine Marie (Dees) Boone, a beloved figure known for her dedication to family and career, passed away on October 22, 2025, in West Palm Beach, FL. Born on May 5, 1951, in Albany, NY, she made significant contributions during her lifetime, both professionally and personally.
The only daughter of the late Willie James Dees and Margaret Sandifer, Authorine pursued her education with determination, receiving an Associates degree. She spent a substantial part of her career as an Executive Assistant at General Electric, where her skills and professionalism left a lasting impression on her colleagues.
In her personal life, Authorine married the late Paul Boone and together they raised their daughters, Andrea and Paula, in Schenectady, NY. The family bond was a cornerstone of Authorine’s life, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones.
In 2010, Authorine made the decision to relocate to Florida, seeking the joys of coastal living. This move allowed her to explore her passion for crafting, which became one of her favorite hobbies. Friends and family remember her vibrant spirit and creativity, which were evident in the works she produced.
A memorial service will be held on November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Wilborn Temple, located at 161 Jay St. Following the service, interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Albany, NY.
