As the Texas high school football season enters Week 9, critical rivalry games will shape the district standings for several teams. Notably, the matchup between the Frisco Wakeland and Frisco Lone Star teams promises to be a thrilling contest, highlighting the competitive nature of District 5-5A Division I. Both teams currently boast undefeated records, with Wakeland holding a slight edge, sitting one game ahead of Lone Star.

The anticipated clash will take place on Friday night at David Kuykendall Stadium. In their previous encounter, Wakeland triumphed with a dramatic finish, overcoming a 59-56 deficit in the final moments.
