UPDATE: A major fire engulfed a home under construction in Sun Valley on October 17, 2023, but the swift response from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) contained the blaze in just 28 minutes. The call came in at 3:39 PM at 7722 N Teesdale Avenue, prompting an urgent mobilization of firefighters to protect surrounding properties.

Firefighters faced a daunting challenge as the one-story building was described as “well-involved with fire.” Authorities prioritized the safety of adjacent structures while battling the flames. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries, and all nearby residents were safe during the incident.

A total of 65 firefighters worked tirelessly at the scene, supported by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Department of Transportation (DOT)LADWP for necessary actions. As of now, the cause of the fire remains undetermined, and LAFD has yet to provide updates regarding its potential origin.
