UPDATE: The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have secured their third consecutive win to kick off the season, dominating the Hartford Wolfpack with a decisive 5-2 victory on Friday night in Hartford, Connecticut. This latest triumph pushes the Penguins’ record to 3-0, signaling an impressive start to their campaign.

The Penguins took control early, establishing a 2-0 lead in the first period. Atley Calvert spearheaded the offense with two goals, the first coming just twelve minutes into the game after Rafaei Harvey-Pinard scored with assists from Chase Pietila and Ryan Graves. The Penguins followed up with a power-play goal from Avery Hayes, marking his second of the season and extending their lead to 3-0.

However, the Wolfpack fought back, netting two goals in quick succession to narrow the margin to 3-2 with 14 minutes remaining in the game. Calvert responded decisively, scoring his second goal of the night to push the Penguins ahead 4-2 with just 9 minutes left on the clock. Tristan Broz capped off the win, sealing the deal with a final goal less than three minutes before the end.

In goal, Sergei Murashov was stellar, stopping 28 of 30 shots, showcasing his skills while helping the team maintain their early-season momentum.
