Toga Unveils Dynamic Fall 2026 Collection at Historic London Venue

Toga showcased its Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection in a captivating presentation that took place at a historic military drill hall in the Bloomsbury neighborhood of London. Designer Yasuko Furuta introduced the show with three thematic prompts: “Pull. Crumple. Pressed.” These words guided her exploration of fabric adaptability, reflecting the ways individuals navigate an evolving social landscape.

The collection featured a diverse array of materials, blending gauzy cottons, flowing silks, and dense woolen fabrics with unexpected elements such as diaphanous plastics and vibrant gold tinsel. Models walked the runway adorned in button-up shirts, plaid suits reminiscent of Vivienne Westwood, and tweedy skirts, all cinched with innovative knotted knits. Hemlines were creatively lifted with shimmering perspex brooches, revealing glimpses of sequins and unique textures.

Each piece displayed an element of modular design. For example, leather motorcycle pants were tailored to cut off at the knee, revealing flared underlayers, while elegant elbow-length furry cuffs added flair to sophisticated ensembles. Suit pants were ingeniously slashed and fastened with buttons, offering the versatility of transforming into suit shorts.

One standout piece—a golden furry bomber jacket—featured shearling lapels, creating the illusion of layered outerwear. A drop-waist dress, styled over jeans from Toga’s collaboration with Wrangler, showcased cozy faux fur pockets that resembled a kangaroo’s pouch.

The collection seamlessly transitioned between menswear and womenswear, demonstrating that Toga’s designs cater to all. The ‘skant’ and ‘skouser’ exemplified this inclusive approach, while brooches became a central theme of adornment throughout the collection.

Toga continues to embrace what Furuta describes as the “happy accident” aesthetic. A translucent green trench layered effortlessly over a fuzzy cream coat, while a tightly bound cotton piece flowed gracefully, adorned with emerald and cobalt blue brooches. This blend of familiarity and innovation resulted in a collection that exuded a vibrant yet refined sensuality, characteristic of Toga’s design philosophy.

As the show concluded, attendees were left with a sense of excitement for the upcoming season. Toga’s Fall 2026 collection, with its dynamic interplay of fabrics and forms, promises to inspire and engage, reaffirming the brand’s position within the ever-evolving fashion landscape.
