The Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo, emphasized the force’s commitment to supporting government initiatives during the Rapat Pimpinan (Rapim) Polri 2026 held on February 10, 2026, in Jakarta. This meeting served as a platform for Sigit to outline the police’s role in advancing the government’s agenda for the year.
Speaking at the event, hosted at The Krakatau Grand Ballroom in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Sigit highlighted that the police would align their efforts with directives from President Prabowo Subianto. These directives were initially presented during the TNI-Polri meeting at the Presidential Palace on February 9, 2026. “We are detailing the President’s directives, particularly regarding the government’s work plan for 2026. The police are committed to fully supporting and overseeing these government programs,” Sigit stated.
A key focus of the Rapim was the discussion of critical areas such as food self-sufficiency, energy security, and downstream industry development. Sigit pointed out that these topics are integral to the government’s priority programs and are essential for boosting Indonesia’s economy.
“The police will continue to support the implementation of government programs aimed at achieving economic growth in Indonesia,” Sigit affirmed. This commitment reflects an overarching strategy to ensure that law enforcement plays a proactive role in national development, facilitating a secure environment for these initiatives to thrive.
As Indonesia navigates its path towards sustainable economic progress, the collaboration between the police and the government is positioned as a cornerstone for success in 2026 and beyond.
