Spots Available for Wallace State Alumni’s 2026 Coastal Tour

The Wallace State Community College Alumni Association has announced that spots remain available for its 2026 Southern Coastal Charm Tour. This five-day group travel experience will take participants to Beaufort and Hilton Head Island in South Carolina from March 16 to March 20, 2026. Notably, the tour is open to the public, welcoming both alumni and non-alumni.

Travelers can expect a well-organized itinerary designed to let them enjoy the region without the hassle of planning. Participants will immerse themselves in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, exploring Beaufort, a coastal city recognized for its historic streets, antebellum homes, and iconic live oaks draped in Spanish moss.

Overview of the Tour Experience

The package includes four nights of accommodation in Beaufort, nine meals, and comprehensive motorcoach transportation. Participants will benefit from guided tours, luggage handling, and the services of a dedicated tour director. The itinerary features a variety of activities highlighting the area’s rich history and culture.

Among the planned excursions are a horse-drawn carriage tour of Beaufort, which highlights significant landmarks and movie locations. A visit to the Parris Island Museum, where lunch will be served on base, is also included. Additionally, guests will tour the Kazoobie Kazoo Factory and visit the Penn Center, which focuses on Gullah heritage.

The itinerary further includes a dolphin and wildlife spotting boat cruise, a trip to the Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton Head Island, and opportunities for authentic local dining. Participants will also have time dedicated to shopping, exploration, and relaxation.

Pricing and Registration Details

The tour departs from Wallace State on Monday, March 16, and concludes on Friday, March 20, with a return to campus expected around 18:00. Pricing is set at $1,299 per person for single occupancy, $999 for double occupancy, and $899 for triple occupancy for Alumni Association members. Non-members may join the tour for an additional $100 per person, with an annual Alumni Association membership available for $30.
