Amazon’s Prime Video Expands Offerings with M6+ and RTVE Deals

Amazon’s Prime Video has announced significant content partnerships in France and Spain, enhancing its service offerings for subscribers. Following recent agreements to include HBO Max in Italy, Germany, and Austria, the company is expanding its European presence by adding local streaming services.

New Content for French Subscribers

Beginning immediately, Prime members in France will gain access to the M6 Group’s streaming platform, M6+. This service allows viewers to enjoy programming from popular channels such as M6, W9, 6ter, and Gulli, available both live and on demand at no additional cost. The agreement brings over 30,000 hours of content to Prime Video, including exclusive titles from M6+.

Key shows included in the deal are local adaptations like The Traitors (Les Traîtres), L’Amour est dans le pré, and reality series such as C’est la famille and Top Chef. The partnership will also feature major sporting events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the Super Bowl.

Elisabetta Carruba, director of Prime Video channels for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, stated, “We are very pleased to welcome M6’s quality programming to Prime Video. The addition of M6 content to our service is an important step in our goal of becoming the number one entertainment destination for our customers.”

David Larramendy, chairman of the M6 Group executive board, emphasized the agreement’s significance. He noted, “This agreement boosts the visibility of our brands and allows us to reach additional audiences,” aiming to enhance the accessibility of their content in a rapidly evolving streaming landscape.

RTVE Channels Available in Spain

In a parallel move, Prime Video has secured what it describes as a “landmark agreement” with Spain’s national public broadcaster RTVE. Starting today, Prime members will have access to live broadcasts from key RTVE channels, including La 1, La 2, Canal 24H, Clan, and Teledeporte, all at no additional cost.

This collaboration offers Spanish audiences an efficient way to enjoy RTVE’s diverse programming through a dedicated section on the Prime Video Live TV homepage. Notable content includes sports coverage, news programs, and popular entertainment shows such as MasterChef, Hasta el fin del mundo, and cultural programming, alongside children’s favorites like Peppa Pig and Los Lunnis.

Carruba remarked, “Following the successful integrations of add-on subscriptions across Europe, we are extremely pleased to expand our collaboration with RTVE. This agreement will allow our Prime subscribers in Spain to access the complete offering of RTVE channels directly from Prime Video.”

With these recent developments, Amazon is positioning Prime Video as a leading entertainment platform in Europe, focusing on delivering localized content that enhances viewer experience across various markets.
