Antioch Police Sergeant Injured in DUI Crash, Driver Arrested

URGENT UPDATE: A police sergeant in Antioch is recovering after being injured in a crash involving a suspected DUI driver early Friday morning. The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of A Street and W. 10th Street, sending both the sergeant and the driver to the hospital.

Officials report that the 31-year-old driver collided with the police vehicle while speeding. Antioch police were already on-site due to a previous accident that occurred around 1 a.m., providing traffic control as they investigated the earlier crash.
