This exhilarating win marks a significant achievement for the Bulldogs in the highly competitive 16-team tournament.
Aguillon’s performance was nothing short of heroic, scoring a total of 19 points and leading his team during the most critical moments. With just 2 seconds left in regulation, Aguillon hit a critical game-tying basket, forcing the game into overtime. During both overtime periods, he contributed five crucial points, demonstrating exceptional poise under pressure.
The game saw Luke Shapiro ignite the Bulldogs early, scoring 11 straight points to give San Rafael an early lead. Shapiro finished the night with 25 points and 8 rebounds. On the girls’ side, Kate Spaulding led the Branson School to a decisive 47-29 win against Warren in the West Coast Jamboree, scoring 26 points. The Bulls are currently ranked 11th in the state among Division 5 teams.
