UPDATE: In a dramatic police chase late Sunday night in San Ramon, California, an officer was injured and two suspects were arrested after a series of events linked to stolen vehicles. The chase began when police received information indicating that suspects were set to return to the scene of previous auto burglaries.
Residents were startled as a fire hydrant was knocked over during the pursuit, sending thousands of gallons of water shooting skyward. Witness Adam Bieneman described the chaos, stating, “I heard the sirens, then a big crash, and I looked outside to see a fire hydrant blasting in the air.”
According to officials from the San Ramon Police Department, the chase involved four suspects believed to be connected to a series of auto thefts. Lt.
