In-N-Out Burger Wait Times Surge as Tennessee Locations Buzz

UPDATE: In-N-Out Burger’s recent expansion into Tennessee is causing a significant buzz, with wait times reaching up to 36 minutes for drive-thru customers. The popular chain’s three new locations in Antioch, Lebanon, and Murfreesboro have seen overwhelming demand just weeks after their debut on December 1 and 3, 2023.

The Wait App, a newly launched crowdsourcing tool, shows that as of 11:30 a.m. CST on December 22, drive-thru wait times are reported at 27-36 minutes, while walk-in customers can expect to wait between 23-44 minutes. This surge in popularity has caught national attention and reflects the excitement surrounding In-N-Out’s first locations east of the Mississippi River.

This app, developed by an independent programmer, is not officially associated with In-N-Out but has quickly gained traction among fans eager to track their wait times. The lengthy waits are not unprecedented for the beloved burger chain but are on the high end compared to typical wait times reported in other states, which average around 10-15 minutes for drive-thru orders.

With a total of 431 locations across 10 states, including California, Texas, and now Tennessee, In-N-Out is in the midst of an ambitious expansion. The chain plans to open its eastern headquarters in Franklin, a Nashville suburb, next year. Owner and president Lynsi Snyder announced these plans last summer, emphasizing the state’s strategic importance for future growth.

In a statement to Fox17 News, Denny Warnick, In-N-Out’s chief operating officer, expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s reception in Tennessee, referring to it as “Christmas came early.” The company is actively looking to strengthen its presence in the region, with two upcoming locations already listed on its website.

As the demand for In-N-Out continues to grow, fans from neighboring states are hoping for expansions closer to their homes. The chain’s immediate focus is on connecting Tennessee with its Texas locations, potentially paving the way for a larger footprint in the southeastern U.S.

For those planning to visit during the holidays, please note that In-N-Out will close early, at 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24, and remain closed all day on Christmas, December 25.

In-N-Out’s rapid rise in Tennessee highlights both the brand’s popularity and the cultural impact of fast food in America. As customers flock to these new locations, the buzz surrounding the chain is unlikely to fade anytime soon, making it a hot topic across social media platforms.

Stay tuned for further updates on In-N-Out’s expansion and the community’s response as these new locations continue to draw in eager customers.
