Ray J Faces Charges, Loses Christmas with Children

Ray J is now facing six misdemeanor charges following his arrest on Thanksgiving for allegedly brandishing a firearm during a livestream incident involving his estranged wife, Princess Love. A judge has since extended a restraining order against him, preventing him from seeing his children this Christmas.

The charges against Ray J include brandishing a firearm, use of force, and child endangerment, as reported by AllHipHop. In a video shared by The Shade Room, he expressed his sorrow about missing time with his family, stating, “Man, I don’t even want to talk about it. I’m missing my kids. I’m missing Christmas, my son’s birthday.” His son, Epik, is set to turn six years old while the restraining order remains active.

After his initial arrest, Ray J was released on a bail of $50,000. He has denied ever pointing a gun at Princess Love during his conversation with TMZ, asserting, “I would never point a gun at anybody, including Princess Love.” In response, Princess Love took to social media, urging Ray J to seek help. She stated, “Check yourself into rehab, because you’re more than drunk. You’re not about to sit here and make me look crazy when I am the best mother since the day my kids been born. Everything I do, I do for my kids.”

The couple married in 2016 and have experienced multiple separations, with Love filing for separation most recently in February 2024. In another livestream, Ray J expressed fear during an incident where Love and her cousin attempted to pick up their children. “This dude is coming in my room. Getting in my bed to take my kids, I’m going to defend my kids and I’m going to defend my space,” he said, while continuing to deny allegations of pulling a gun.

This ongoing situation highlights the complexities of their relationship and the impact on their family. As the legal proceedings unfold, both Ray J and Princess Love navigate the challenges of co-parenting amid serious allegations and public scrutiny.
