Chris Albano, Nick Rebracca Shine in Staten Island Hoops Showdown

In a gripping non-league clash, Chris Albano led his team, Susan Wagner, to a dramatic 63-55 victory over New Dorp at Sea View. Albano shone brightest in the final quarter, scoring nine of his game-high 24 points to propel his team to success. With this win, the Falcons improved to 10-2 overall.

Alongside Albano, Darin Humes-James and Adem Djonbalic contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively, while Charles Gambino and Clevi Hoxha added 12 points each. Rebracca’s performance included a season-high of six three-pointers, marking his third straight game with at least 26 points. The Vikings now boast a 6-2 overall record and 5-2 in league play.

Point guard Nick Lee and sixth man Luca Mineo supported Rebracca with 10 points each, while Joey Moran and Arne Mattsson combined for another 14 points. The Vikings established an early lead, outpacing the Eagles 19-4 in the opening quarter.

In a closely contested matchup in Pittsburgh, St. Peter’s fell to Taylor Allderdice 52-45. Senior Nico Parlanti led St. Peter’s with 17 points, but the Eagles couldn’t recover from an early deficit, dropping to 2-4 overall.

In PSAL action, WHEELS took control in the second half to defeat Eagle Academy SI 61-43. Miguel Martinez and Maurice Cox led WHEELS with 15 and 11 points, respectively, as they improved their standing in the league.
