UPDATE: A new immersive experience, the Bubble Planet Experience, has just opened in Los Angeles at the Exhibition Hub Los Angeles Art Center as of December 19, 2023. This whimsical pop-up aims to help visitors unwind and escape the stresses of daily life through the joy of bubbles.
The 25,000-square-foot venue features six engaging walk-through rooms, each designed to evoke a sense of fun and nostalgia. Executive Producer John Zaller explains, “We wanted to come up with a new type of immersive experience that combines digital technology with more traditional physical engagement elements.” The goal is clear: to capture the carefree essence of childhood memories associated with bubbles.
Visitors will be captivated as they enter the LED Room, surrounded by mirrors that simulate an underwater atmosphere. This room is interactive, responding to movements and lighting up as guests walk through. “The room actually responds to your movements,” Zaller said, adding that it sets a playful tone for the entire exhibit.
Next, guests will explore the kaleidoscope room, bursting with vibrant colors, before diving into the Bubble Ocean, filled with playful pink balloons. Each space is crafted to encourage interaction and play, making the experience more enjoyable. One standout section is the Selfie Room, where guests can snap pictures in a whimsical tub surrounded by rubber ducks, just before entering the Bubble Bath room, where they can splash around in tiny plastic bubbles.
Zaller emphasizes the importance of relaxation, stating, “I hope our guests leave inspired and uplifted.” With the pressures of modern life weighing heavily on many, this experience provides a much-needed escape, allowing participants to embrace their creativity and joy.
The Bubble Planet Experience is expected to run for at least six months, with tickets priced at $14.90. Whether you’re looking for a unique outing or a brief respite from the chaos of everyday life, this immersive adventure invites everyone to take a step back and enjoy the simple pleasures.
