BREAKING NEWS: Antonino “Tony” Morici, Sr., beloved figure in the Easton community, has passed away at the age of 78. He died on December 10, 2025, at his home in Palmer Township, surrounded by his family, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and culinary excellence.
Born on August 23, 1947, in Santo Stefano di Camastra, Sicily, Morici was the son of the late Francesco and Annunziata (Cerniglia) Morici. He was widely recognized as the proprietor of Morici’s Restaurant on College Hill in Easton, where his passion for cooking brought joy to many. A devout Catholic, Tony was an active member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church and the Holy Cross Society.
Tony was known for his exceptional Italian dishes and his talent for crafting homemade wine, which he shared generously with family and friends. He cherished the moments spent with his children and grandchildren, including Frank Morici, Santo Morici, and Anthony “Nino” Morici, Jr., along with his loving wife of 54 years, Maria (Galati) Morici.
His family has expressed their deep sorrow and gratitude for the support they’ve received during this difficult time. They invite the community to honor Tony’s memory. Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., located at 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA. An additional hour for visitation will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the same location.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, located at 520 Cedarville Road, Easton, PA.
