URGENT UPDATE: Sophomore Marco Caruso dominated the field with four goals, propelling the Tam High boys soccer team to a decisive 5-0 victory over Terra Linda on Monday. This victory marks Tam’s second consecutive win against a formidable MCAL playoff contender.
The Red-tailed Hawks, now holding a record of 2-0-1, are fresh off a 1-0 victory against Archie Williams last Friday. In addition to Caruso’s standout performance, teammate Buba Mane contributed another goal, while Luke Nurney and Devin Perkins each provided two crucial assists.
The Hawks are set to host Montgomery at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, and fans are eager to see if they can continue their winning streak.
In girls soccer, Gianna Grasso shone brightly for San Marin, scoring a hat trick to lead the team to a 4-1 victory against Berean Christian on the same day. Grasso not only scored three goals but also assisted on another goal netted by Tatum D’Angelica. Samantha Rodas also contributed an assist for the Mustangs, who now boast a record of 4-0-1.
