Born on November 4, 1953, in Long Beach, California, Sally moved to Santa Cruz at the age of nine. She graduated from Soquel High School in 1971, where she met her husband, Kevin Cooper. Together, they celebrated an incredible 54 years of marriage.

Her commitment extended to her work with the Soquel School District, where she undoubtedly influenced the lives of many students and families.
Her family, including sons Chris, Brian, and Jake, daughter Amy, and five grandchildren—Bradley, Troy, Logan, Kendall, and Kenzie—are heartbroken but grateful for the time they shared with her. Sally also leaves behind her beloved cat, William, a companion who provided her with joy in her later years.
The funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, located at 435 Monterey Ave, Capitola, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Community members and friends are encouraged to attend to pay their respects and celebrate Sally’s life.
