Zac Brown Band Launches Sphere Residency with Star-Studded Setlist

Zac Brown Band kicked off its highly anticipated eight-show residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere on December 5, 2023. The opening night coincided with the release of the band’s new album, Love & Fear, which also launched on the same date. The concert featured a dynamic setlist of 26 songs, including seven tracks from the new album, alongside numerous fan favorites from the band’s extensive discography.

The Sphere, which opened its doors in 2023, served as the perfect venue for the band’s ambitious vision. In conversations with Billboard earlier this year, Zac Brown expressed his excitement about the residency, describing it as a dream come true. “I’ve been wanting to do a spectacle for a couple of years,” he stated. “The Sphere is the greatest canvas that’s ever been created for imagination.”

Brown emphasized the significance of this residency, referring to it as “2.0 for our band.” He noted that despite the passage of time, his passion and creativity remain vibrant. “There are some bands that get tired and stop,” he said. “But my passion and my creativity is as good now as it’s ever been, and I just want to keep pushing the envelope.”

Setlist Highlights

The setlist for the inaugural performance showcased a mix of classics and new material, reflecting the band’s evolution since their debut in 2008. Notable songs included “Free” from The Foundation, “Colder Weather” from You Get What You Give, and “Take It to the Limit,” a cover of the Eagles classic. Fans were particularly excited to hear tracks from Love & Fear, demonstrating the band’s ability to seamlessly blend new sounds with their established hits.

The Sphere residency runs until January 17, 2024. The first four shows are already sold out, with limited tickets available for the remaining performances. This engagement marks a significant moment in the band’s ongoing journey, showcasing their commitment to innovation and fan engagement.

As the Zac Brown Band continues its run at the Sphere, fans can expect a blend of high-energy performances and immersive experiences that highlight the band’s musical journey. This residency not only celebrates their past but also heralds a new chapter in their artistic evolution.
