The Knights, who found themselves trailing by as much as 12 points early in the game, turned the tide in the fourth quarter thanks to key plays from Kate Jenkerson and Madison Clay. Jenkerson assisted Clay on three critical baskets, while Clay scored 11 of her 18 points in the intense final moments.
Farmington’s strong defense played a crucial role, limiting Hazelwood West to a mere seven points during the second and third quarters. The Wildcats, led by standout Jamiah Herring, who scored 31 points and made an impressive 15-of-15 from the free-throw line, struggled to maintain their lead as the game progressed.
The match saw a significant shift in momentum. After trailing 20-8 at the end of the first quarter, Farmington began to chip away at the deficit. With the score at 27-23 at halftime, the Knights surged in the second half, taking the lead for the first time with a pivotal 3-pointer from Ella Scott.

As the fourth quarter unfolded, Clay’s consistent scoring and Jenkerson’s leadership propelled Farmington to a 55-44 lead, despite Herring’s late-game heroics. The Knights’ ability to execute under pressure ultimately sealed the victory.
In other notable matchups, North County secured a decisive 68-45 win over Steelville, bolstered by Raegan Pierce‘s five 3-pointers and a robust defensive effort in the third quarter.
