The 2025 Merry Christmas Fund has successfully reached over 5% of its fundraising goal of $50,000 in just five days. In an encouraging start to the campaign, the fund received its first donations from outside Pennsylvania, with contributions from two individuals in South Carolina arriving on December 6, 2023, at the Salvation Army Chester Corps.
As of today, the total amount raised stands at $2,985.09, following a generous donation of $830.09 received just today. The contributions reflect the spirit of giving, with donors honoring loved ones through their gifts.
Among today’s notable donors are:
– John E. O’Brien of Aston, who donated $150 in memory of his parents, June and Henry O’Brien.
– Patricia Woznicki of Media, who contributed $100 in memory of Sande and Pat Walton.
– Lawrence Worrilow of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, who gave $100 in memory of Thomas H. and Amelia Worrilow Sr.
