UPDATE: Fujitsu Limited has just announced a groundbreaking development in supply chain technology that could transform how companies collaborate. The company revealed its new multi-AI agent collaboration technology designed to connect AI agents from various organizations securely and respond swiftly to changing market conditions.
Starting in January 2026, Fujitsu will initiate field trials with Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Science Tokyo in Kawasaki, Japan. This innovative technology promises to optimize supply chains by streamlining operations and enhancing recovery during emergencies, such as sudden demand fluctuations or disasters.
The implications of this technology are significant. By enabling rapid collaboration across multiple companies and vendors, Fujitsu aims to improve resilience and sustainability in supply chain practices. This effort aligns with the goals of the Council on Competitiveness-Nippon (COCN), where Fujitsu plans to contribute to the promotion of secure data and AI collaborations across industries.
According to Katsuki Fujisawa, a professor at the Institute of Integrated Research, “Science Tokyo is actively promoting Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) research and working to improve efficiency across the entire industrial value chain.” He added that the collaboration with Fujitsu’s AI technology is expected to address industry advancements and societal challenges.
Fujitsu’s initiative is poised to bring a new perspective to corporate supply chain strategies. By the end of fiscal year 2026, the company aims to broaden its technology for complex supply chains through its Uvance business model, specifically targeting its Dynamic Supply Chain services.
This development is crucial as businesses worldwide navigate increasingly complex supply chains. The ability to collaborate securely through AI could lead to more reliable and efficient operations, fostering industrial growth and competitiveness on a global scale.
With these trials set to begin shortly, the industry will be watching closely to see how this technology can reshape the future of supply chain management. Stay tuned for more updates as Fujitsu continues its efforts to enhance the resilience and sustainability of supply chains worldwide.
